Summer Vacation 2011 Recap

Hellooooooo blog readers...........................

Today I am going to tell you about my vacation this past summer.

The day school let out I was VERY VERY happy! I knew that I would have a big time during summer break! I had thousands of things to do and I loved it. Starting of the summer vacation was the greatest thing in the world. I had been waiting for this my whole life. I was wondering when we were getting out and I found out and I was so happy!

The first day of summer vacation, I slept in. I thought it was a school day, but then dad didn't wake me up. I slept and slept until I woke up and I said in my head IT'S SUMMER VACATION! Then we did a thousand things.

We went to my grandma's pool a bunch of times and I played with my toy Titanic in the pool!

.... The next day I also did some tennis lessons. I did tennis lessons all summer with the greatest tennis player in the world, Emily! She hit those balls and I hit them harder than she would. I love tennis. It is my greatest new sport and I want to be a famous tennis player when I grow up. By the end of summer, I was serving and returning balls!

Then this summer, I also went to Florida with my family on an airplane. We went there for a week which is equal to 7 days. We played Putt Putt Golf, we body surfed at the beach and collected shells and made sand castles. We ate out a bunch, saw Cars 2 in 3D, we went on an COOL airboat ride in the Everglades. We went to a place called the Imaginarium which is a science place which I like. We also went to the Naples Zoo and went to the Audubon Nature Preserve and walked 2 miles ona boardwalk. We saw HUGE grasshoppers that looked like they had colorful armor on them. I did not like it. I saw a spider and it was huge, it's butt was like a rectangle that had an arch on the top. It had super long arms and it was in a big web. We also saw a mommy alligator and her babies in the wild. They were about 50 feet from us and mom said "let's get out of here"! Then we went to Uncle Bub & Aunt Linda's house. We played in the hot tub with our model Titanic and had dinner there. Then we went back to the house in Florida and had more fun until we had to go back home. So back on an airplane we went! Just like when we went to Florida, only we were going the opposite direction of Florida.

Other things I did this summer was, I went to the Newport Aquarium with my brother and my grandparents and our friend Tammy. I saw a lot of things there. Like sharks, penguins and lots of fish.

I played with lots of Lego's this summer! Including a train one that I took to our Family Reunion at Carter Caves State Park. Mimi, Papaw, Uncle Bub, Aunt Linda, Grace, Lily, and lots of other kids were there. We went into the X-Cave and the Cascade Cave. It was cold inside those caves. We saw bats in the Cascade Cave but none in the X-Cave. The tour guide said they were full grown bats but they were very tiny! From us, they looked tiny, but from them, they were full grown. One swooped down onto the crowd and then went back up into it's nest. They were all huddled together like a big nest. There was a waterfall and a lake inside the cave. But then we came back home and it was 3 days until back to school.

When the 3 days were done, I was not too happy. Then I had a very boring life and I was very upset and I wish summer vacation lasted more. But to worry, we are going back to Florida this fall!

The end.

Bye blog readers, I'll make another blog post soon!

My views of the Titanic

Hello Blog readers:

I'm very interested in the Titanic. So I decided that it needs to be raised! I have already started a petition at school and brought it to all the kids in class, even my Principal. Here is my idea of how to raise the Titanic.

1. We will have to attach air pontoons to the Titanic's hull and the other parts of it.

2. We have to press a red button on a remote in order to make them inflate. This will be located on the off shore of New York on a large ship.

3. We will attach ropes to tug boats and put steel metal plates to the scrapes. The scrapes were made from the iceberg. Some people thing the ice berg punched a hole in the side, but it made scrapes. It allowed enough water to enter the Titanic to make it sink. We will tow the ship to the ship repair yard in New York.

The second smoke stack of the Titanic fell off into the water because it was different from all of the other smoke stacks. It was angled differently. The Titanic was ready to break apart when it reached 30 degrees. The weight of all the people standing in the back caused the Titanic to break apart. A huge crack caused this kind of thing. People were standing in the back because they didn't want to fall in the water and drown. April 14, the Titanic was hit by the iceberg, but it didn't sink until April 15 when there was enough water to pull down the Titanic.

My mom thinks it's not a good idea to raise the Titanic because there are lots of people still down there. Here's a word from my mom:

Hello blog readers, this is Brennan's mom. I think it would be REALLY neat to raise the Titanic to get artifacts and see what stuff is down there. I would like to go to see all of it in a museum. However, I feel that the Titanic should be left alone because there are human remains down there. I think we should let these people stay where they are and leave them alone. Back to Brennan...

My mom is so jealous about that. Here is my idea of what we should do with those people... get them out of the Titanic and dump them back to where they were. That way, no one will get creeped out by them. Dead bodies are kind of creepy so no one wants to be around them or smell their stench.

I'm going to work on more ships. There are ships called the Six Sisters. They all sank on different days and are all big important ships. Titanic is one of them. There are five left that I am going to raise.

See you later. I'll tell you more later about the other 5 sisters.

Lightning Tree

Dear Fans,

Guess what happened in our yard a few weeks ago? Lightning struck a tree just feet away from our house. It was very close to where the plane crashed last summer.

The lightning sliced through the tree like a hot knife through butter! The tree was close to 100 feet high. The lightning hit the tree at 4:00 a.m. my mom & dad told me. My dad screamed like a girl and it woke my mom up! I didn't hear it when I was sleeping. I saw it the next morning and it looked like the bark flew all over our yard! There were pieces of it on our patio.

Thankfully it didn't fall and hit our house like normal lightning does to trees.

The tree will be cut down because the tree might gets bugs in it and might chew through it and then it would fall and hit our house.

Sincerely,

Your Blog Friend, Brennan

Lost in Space Parts 1, 2 & 3

Today in school we were told to make stories. We could write about anything we want. And here is my story (it is fiction), written by Brennan Ison, Age 8.

~~~~~
THINK IN YOUR MIND!
Stargate Sector 2-20982.
Floating along in space in our ship. No food. No water. Just us. But wait! What is happening? We are floating toward a comet! WE ARE GOING TO DIE! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
QUICK! Override the steering control to reverse! I got it. We are out of here! There goes the comet. But wait a second. I hear wind. A BLACK HOLE! AHHHHHHHHHH We can't get out of the suction....... The End.
Coming soon to DVD & Video Fall 2012. Or go to your local library or go on line to your computer.
~~~~~~

I read my story to my friends in my class two times. Can you believe it, 2 TIMES! I like to read my stories with an English Accent!

I hope you enjoyed my story. If you like my story, please send letters to my mommy on Facebook.

Maglev Car

I Brennan Ison do declare a new invention in 2020. A Maglev Car. A car that runs on a magnetic field. The magnetic field on the car is just like on a Maglev Train. This is how it works:

It floats on a magnetic field to make it go forward. The magnets would be positive against positive. When the magnets are turned on and off it moves and I am going to attach the magnets to a car. The road will be the magnetic field just like the tracks on the Maglev Train. The car will have the same thing that is equal to the Maglev Train. The magnets will go on and off just like the Maglev Train. It turns by using a rudder and there would be a steering wheel as well. Goodbye gasoline! This would be environmentally friendly to our environment.

We would have a tower at our house that would be the control tower for the cars. Where I could monitor everything. There would be a plane that would take pictures and show me what is happening. To prevent accidents, there would be magnets all around the car and if two cars go too close together, the magnets would turn on and they would be positive and positive so they would push each other away. The sidewalk would be magnetic as well so the cars would bounce off that too. They would move safely at 400 MPH. The cars would have rotating seats so people could not feel the G Forces. The cars would accelerate at a slow speed so people couldn't feel the acceleration. There would be slow and high speeds just by setting the dials. The magnets would have a high and low switch. High would make the cars go fast and low would make the cars go slow. My tower would have all the controls. There would be no gasoline tanks on the cars. It would just have a speedometer.

There might be one problem. The magetic fields on the North and South Poles. There would be a dial at the tower and I would switch it to Level 5. This level would be strong enough to make the cars move but not upset the earth's magnetic field. If I switch it to 100 the earth would go into intense climate changes. The ice caps would melt and cities on the earth would flood and our town in KY would be in a new ice age. So that's why it has to stay on Level 5.

There would be solar powered traffic lights. Trucks would be magnetic too. How would trucks couple up to their cargo cars? There would be magnets and they would be positive and negative so they stick together!

Hope you enjoy my scientific invention of a Maglev Car!! See you in the future!
